Hi, I’m Kelly!

Since 2017, I've been dedicated to supporting people, causes, and small businesses in my community as the Principal of KFL Strategies, bringing my love for public relations, communications, and event planning to life. With over 20 years of experience, I've had the privilege of helping clients create unique moments and impactful campaigns all across Boston (and beyond).

Ever since I was small, I knew I wanted my own business. I get the drive and hustle, so I'm passionate about helping other small businesses grow. I'm always on the lookout for new, local, MWBE-owned small businesses and entrepreneurs who are as passionate about their work as I am. Keeping it local means connecting my clients with the best vendors, event spaces, and suppliers - people who create lasting memories while keeping everything rooted in the community we love.

What drives me is the belief that everyone's voice matters. I'm committed to making sure as many voices as possible are heard. I've got a soft spot for events and campaigns that spark activism, create change, and launch initiatives that help people thrive. And, of course, I'm always thinking green. I work hard to ensure every event is as sustainable as possible.

I am politically savvy and keep my finger on the pulse of local and national politics. I love working on projects that engage elected officials, ensuring all voices are part of the conversation while helping create real change.

​

 

As a PR strategist and event planner, I treat media relationships like friendships. I approach each project with empathy and an understanding of where people are, financially and otherwise. My motto? "You Got This." It's my way of saying, "I believe in you." I'm here to cheer you on and help you achieve your goals, no matter what.

 

​Everyone deserves access to services that help them succeed, whether it's a fundraising gala or a super fun birthday party with friends. I'm here to make it happen, big or small.

​

From elegant galas to community festivals, I plan every event creatively, purposefully, and inclusively. My background as an Executive Chef at iconic Boston spots means I bring extra food and beverage knowledge to my events. I ensure every little detail is perfect, from the food to the overall vibe.

 

I've led communications for organizations all over Boston, handling crises, telling meaningful stories, and securing media coverage that shines a light on important missions. I've even worked on the other side of PR in local access TV, so I know what it takes to create newsworthy stories.

I'm proud to have helped nonprofits grow their impact and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars through strategic events and campaigns.

I grew up and still live in Boston, which keeps me grounded in the community that shaped me. Using my experience in PR, event planning, catering, local news, and nonprofit work, I love helping my clients amplify their voices and celebrate their stories. I'm always excited to explore new trends and tech that make my work more efficient, engaging, and fun.

​

When I'm not working, I'm probably trying not to kill my plants, reading, writing poetry, or hosting dinners and parties with friends. I love wandering around the city, experimenting with fashion, listening to early 2000s emo, and staying grounded. Life's all about balance (I'm a Libra), so I also keep things light-hearted, creative, and fun outside of work.
